Sacred Ground Fellowship is a faith-rooted ministry and Private Membership Association. Through intentional hospitality, thoughtful property stewardship and selected space-transformation projects, we create places that are beautiful, peaceful and deeply cared for.

A PLACE TO BREATHE

At Christmas, we came alongside a young mother and her baby to transform a studio into a peaceful, functional home. When it was finished, she shared that—for a moment—she felt safe and could breathe.

That moment is why this ministry exists. We may not be able to determine what comes next, but we can show up with humility, meet practical needs, and create spaces where people feel seen, cared for, and worthy of peace.

A HOME THAT NEEDED TO CHANGE

After a devastating, publicly reported family crisis, an Ojai mother and her six children urgently needed a change in their home environment. Their therapist recommended that change happen immediately.

Kara and I had about four weeks to plan, order, and organize the work. While we transformed the home, one of our property owners opened another home to the family.

WHAT A COMMUNITY MADE POSSIBLE

In two and a half days, 13 volunteers helped clean, repair, paint, build, furnish, and organize the home around the family’s needs—creating restful bedrooms and welcoming shared spaces. It became Sacred Ground’s biggest community project of the year.

We gave weeks of planning, hands-on work, and Sacred Ground’s September proceeds to community care projects, including this one. Homeowners and volunteers gave their time, skills, and support.

A transformed home cannot undo what a family has endured. We hoped it could meet an urgent need and offer a more peaceful place to begin again. We are deeply grateful to everyone in Ojai who showed up with care.

A LITTLE MAGIC, EVERY WEEK

During a long recovery after a foot amputation to help her prosthetic fit properly, a young girl faced weeks of healing and adjustment. Sacred Ground Fellowship wanted to give her something cheerful to look forward to, so we prepared eight individually wrapped activity boxes and sent them to her parents to share one each week.

The boxes held books and activities inspired by camping, butterflies and bugs, fairies, princesses, mermaids, puzzles, and hands-on crafts. We hoped each one would bring a little fun, creativity, and anticipation to a challenging season for her and her family.


FAITH IN EVERY HOME

Sacred Ground Fellowship is a Christian ministry expressed through the prayerful care and stewardship of homes. Whenever a property becomes part of Sacred Ground, it is individually blessed and prepared with a Bible and a passage selected especially for that home.

Fellowship members may participate in worship, prayer, blessings, pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance, Christian religious instruction, fellowship, sanctuary and retreat. These offerings are shared with humility, discretion and respect—gently inviting people to encounter the love of God and Jesus Christ without pressure.

Sacred Ground’s ministry is not limited to one property, community or country. Wherever the Fellowship is called to serve, each home becomes part of one unified religious purpose.
